Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@cpr2you.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

CPR stands for Cardio-Pulmonary-Resuscitation. It is an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions and rescue breaths to maintain blood flow and oxygenation in someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest.

A life threatening emergency in which a victim's heart and breathing stops. The victim is unresponsive and needs immediate CPR to increase their chances of survival.

CPR is important because it can keep blood flowing and oxygenated to the brain and other vital organs until professional medical help arrives. This can triple the chances of survival for someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest. Without help the victim has a less than 10% chance of Survival.

Anyone can learn CPR, and it is recommended for anyone who wants to be prepared in case of an emergency. This includes parents, teachers, healthcare professionals, and anyone who works with the public. Any age can participate in CPR and children as young as 9 years old can be certified!

  1. Recognize a Victim is in Sudden Cardiac Arrest. You can do this by Looking  and listening for any sings of life such as a pulse and breathing.
  2. Ensure 911 has been called or call them yourself using your phone on speaker mode
  3. Place both in the center of the chest on the lower half of the breast bone. Lock out your arms and position your shoulders over your hands (Upper Body Leverage)
  4. Push Hard, Fast & Deep at a rate between 100-120 compressions per minute (🎶Staying Alive Beat)
