Tristin Saghin, a 9-year-old boy, saved his baby sister's life after she fell into a swimming pool. Tristin had learned CPR from watching television. He was visiting his grandmother in Arizona when the incident occurred. He performed chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on his sister, who was unconscious and not breathing. Thanks to Tristin's quick actions, his sister was revived and is expected to make a full recovery.

Torri'ell Norwood, a 16-year-old from St. Petersburg, Florida, saved her best friend's life just a day after completing a basic life support class. In a car accident, her friend, A'zarria Simmons, hit her head and became unresponsive. Norwood, using the CPR skills she had learned, performed 30 compressions and two rescue breaths, which helped Simmons regain consciousness. Paramedics arrived and transported Simmons to the hospital for further treatment.

A 15-year-old California girl, Madison Atkinson, is being hailed as a hero for saving her 3-year-old niece, Maxine, from drowning. During a Thanksgiving gathering, Maxine wandered outside and fell into the family pool.
